So one thing that comes to my awareness as I sit here reading my blog is the notion of making the customer happy.
For me, this is a big thing, although many times, its not the easiest thing. A handful customers on eBay are at times challenging to deal with and I feel like if we can leave even these customers with a good feeling about our transaction, well we are doing our best~!
The extra mile should not be confused with not supporting yourself and eating costs. The key to the extra mile is communication. Communication is key. If you are straight forward with someone, letting them know whats up and how you feel about it, the situation always turns out for the best. Most importantly, we can't do this with emotion, but rather with the intention to make the transaction as smooth and easeful as possible~!
So if we can really just communicate with our clients and our buyers, it doesn't really matter what needs to be done, its simply expressing that in a clear and comprehensible manner, while being able to look at it from both sides.
I also never leave negative feedback, because well, hey, if someone doesnt pay, I just relist, and if truly necessary, I issue a non-paying bidder, but I don't even really like to do that. Obviously if they dont want to buy it, I won't force them into it, just if possible issue a second chance offer, and sell it to the next person in line~!
If we can really do our best to make it as smooth and easeful for the person at the other end, whether it be client or buyer, everyone ends up happy, and positve, regardless of their dispositon. We can't please everyone, but we can do our best and at the same time honor our truth. Yet, I never compromise myself in the name of someone elses preference, I just won't, because I am most important, for if there is no me, there is no transaction~!
